The Wall Street Journal introduced the stipple drawings known as hedcuts in 1979 to add character to their then text-heavy publication. The signature style of portraiture has since become an icon of newsworthiness. The Class of 2008 is an alphabetical catalogue of every hedcut published in 2008. In cases where an individual was featured multiple times, repetitions are included and appear chronologically.
